A clamping system was developed for clamping round components by means of a toggle lever principle. An inexpensive laser-cut piece is cut such that its inner diameter can be changed by twisting two keys.

Toogle clamps
The diameter changes by about 1.5%, e.g. 10mm to 10.15mm. After disengaging, the system rebounds, thereby tensioning the inner part.
We are still looking for applications for this system, such as e.g. as a tool holder for drills or as a mechanism to intensofy manual operation force.
